What’s on in October for the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast?

October is packed with fun-filled and thrilling events. The V8 Supercars Castrol Gold Coast 600 event is on at the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast is hosting the Caloundra Music Festival and then there’s Oktoberfest Brisbane Festival in Brisbane as well.

25th September – 05th October: Glitter Festival 2015

Glitter Festival 2015 aims to bring everyone together, with the support of Gold Coast City Council and the Mayor. The event is celebrating the LGBTIQAP+ Community.

2nd – 31st October: Fright Night

The annual Fright Night is back and this year it’s bigger and better. There’s new horror mazes, updated panic rooms and for the first time ever a horror film festival. You’ll be terrified all night. Hosted at Movie World every Friday and Saturday Night

08th – 11th October: NetFest

Australia’s 18+ netball event, NetFest, offers outdoor netball and beach netball tournaments. There is also a vast range of other social activities available at the Festival, including the beach concert on the 10th at Surfers Paradise beach.  This year, the netball carnival is being held on the Gold Coast at Surfers Paradise’ foreshore and Hinterlands District Netball Association at Mudgeeraba.

10th -11th October: Coates Hire Coolangatta Gold

15th October – 8th November: Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema – CAN’T MISS

Every Wednesday – Sunday the Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema will be open and showing new and old movies. This openair cinema will be located next to Kurrawa Surf Club at Pratten Park.

17th -18th October: Buskers by the Creek

18th October: Discover Europe – Travel Expo

24th October: Swim Queensland

Swim Queensland is a new event that is launching World Series Swim. Every year the event will travel to a different location, but Swim Queensland 2015 is being held at one of the most popular beaches on the Sunshine Coast; Mooloolaba beach. There’s races for everyone!

28th October – 1st November: Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival

Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival is the second largest Triathlon in Australia. The three day event consists of a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run along Noosa’s Coastline. This sporting event is located in Hastings Street, Noosa.
