November has some great events on offer across the region. This makes it a good time to head to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Brisbane.

Back a winner track side at the Gold Coast Turf Club, join the ultimate party at the Gold Coast Convention Centre with plenty of live entertainment or dress to impress at the Gold Coast Arts Centre Melbourne Cup Luncheon.

Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games                     5 November – 13 November 2016

This year marks the tenth Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games and the Gold Coast is expected to welcome over 13,000 participants from around the world.

Showcasing more than 40 sports including baseball, netball, softball, swimming and taekwondo, the majority of sports are for the over 30’s with the only criteria being that participants meet the minimum age requirement with no qualifying standards required.

Aside from the sporting element, the games are synonymously celebrated with a jam-packed entertainment program, providing a great opportunity for participants and spectators to socialise with teammates, friends and family and celebrate their achievements. Some of Australia’s most celebrated artists will front the stage including Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Sorrows, Ian moss and Dragon.

The Sunshine Coast will again celebrate Australia’s newest film fest, the Noosa International Film Festival. From international new releases to inspirational and moving short stories, this festival is fast becoming one of Australia’s leading international film festivals featuring some of the country’s most talented filmmakers.

The festival program promises an exciting line up at various venues around central Noosa, while the many cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs will be providing visitors with an abundance of delicious local produce to suit all tastes.

15 November will mark the annual international event to celebrate the extraordinary life and achievements of the one and only, Steve Irwin. Steve was passionate about an array of things including wildlife conservation and this day will pay homage to his conversation work and the preservation of wildlife.

People all around the world will unite to celebrate this event and join together to raise money for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors while also focusing on celebrating the life of Steve Irwin.

A day on the green is an event now in its 14th year and is one of the highlights on the Australian Spring/Summer entertainment calendar. With its unique outdoor backdrop at some of Australia’s most renown wineries, a day on the green is more than a concert, it is an event ‘experience’.

Brisbane is in for a treat as the 2016/2017 season kicks off with You Am I, Something for Kate and Spiderbait all performing at Sirromet Wines in Mount Cotton on Sunday the 6th of November. This collective of some of Australia’s favourite rock artists promises to deliver a fantastic day of entertainment with great food and wine in a magnificent location!

Brisbane locals, it’s time for some fun! Rebound Race is the World’s Largest Inflatable Obstacle Course and its coming to Brisbane on the 12 and 13 of November. Suitable for ages 7 and above, Rebound Race features a 15m high, 85cm wide long slide and allows you to fly down at top speed as you make your way down the obstacle.

A great outing for family, friends or perhaps a good challenge for work mates – run, walk, slip or slide your way around this course, however you do it, it will be guaranteed to be fun!
