Mother’s Day Classic Run           8th May 2016

The Gold Coast MDC for 2016 will be at Pratten Park, Broadbeach and involves a 4km and 8km walk and run. All in aid of raising funds and awareness for Breast Cancer.

Gold Coast International Marine Expo   19th – 22nd May 2016

If you’re into boating & fishing, you can’t miss this event, which will be held at Gold Coast Marine Precinct in Coomera. Open each day 9-4pm.

VA’A World Sprints –  5th May –  15th May 2016

On behalf of the International Va’a Federation the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Council are hosting the IVF Va’a World Elite & Club Sprint Championships presented by Hawaiian Airlines at Lake Kawana on Australia’s Sunshine Coast.

The competition is sure to be fierce and this is an event not to miss!

Weetbix Try-athlon         29th May 2016

A traditional swim, ride run triathlon for kids. The event will take place at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Kawana Waters. Kids must be ages between 7-15 years old.

AOCRA National Marathon Titles            20th – 22nd May 2016

The AOCRA National Marathon Titles is the Australian outrigger paddling compeition held annualy. This year it will be held at mooloolaba beach.

Aussie Aito        20th May 2016

The Aussie Aito is an exciting one-day event and consists of long distance ocean paddling in a single rudderless outrigger canoe, otherwise known as a V1. The event will be held at Parkyn parade, Mooloolaba.

Noosa Ultimate Sports Festival 27th -28th May 2016

Noosa Ultimate Sports Festival presented by Seven Sport will hit the shores of Noosa Heads and includes a mix of events and entertainment for all sports fans and families. Swim Noosa – Make a splash at the festival! ZINC 96.1 Swim Noosa will kick off the festival on Saturday and is sure to have an ocean swim distances to all swim fans: 3.8 kilometres, two kilometres, one kilometre and 500 metres. Cycle Noosa – SUBARU Cycle Noosa will take place on Sunday and will include two distances to meet all cyclist enthusiast needs: 160 kilometres and 85 kilometres. Both courses are designed to impress your legs and your eyes. Tough Mudder  7th & 8th May 2016

A 16- 20 Kilometre mud obstacle course built to test your mental grit, camaraderie and fitness. It’s all about getting out and having a good time. No finisher medals or clock to race against. This year’s event will be held at Sirromet winery.

Fish Lane Festival           7th  May 2016

Explore the famous Fish Lane like never before. Enjoy signature dishes gourmet eats and premium pop up bars from the neighbourhoods most loved restaurants, bars and cafes. There will also be two stages of with live entertainment.  The event runs from noon till 10pm.

Mother’s Day Classic     8th  May 2016

Walk or run for breast cancer research on 8 May at the Mother’s Day Classic. Head to the Cultural Forecourt and join thousands as they participate in a 4.5km and 8km walk and run along the Brisbane River, South Bank and West End.

Arrive at the Cultural Forecourt from 6am for late registrations and warm-up. The events will be staggered, with the first event – the 4.5km run – beginning at 7am.

There will also be live entertainment on the main stage, a kids’ zone with jumping castle and face painting, plus a variety of food and beverage will be on sale.

Brisbane Cake Expo       14th & 15th  May 2016

RSPCA Million Paws Walk          15th May 2016

The 3.5km walk with your dog is aimed to raise funds that will help to provide essential care, veterinary treatment, food and shelter for more than 18,000 dogs that RSPCA Qld cares for each year. The walk starts at 10am near the Wheel of Brisbane.
