August is just around the corner and with it brings some brilliant events across South East Queensland.
Gold Coast Multicultural Festival – 6th August 2017

Join in the fun at the annual multicultural festival at the Southport Broadwater Parklands. There will be 65 international food stalls, three stages filled with entertainments and even arts and crafts. Keep the kids entertained with rides and activities.
Gold Coast Suns v Essendon – 19th August 2017
The Gold Coast Suns take on Essendon at Metricon Stadium.
Rotary Kokoda Beach Classic – 20th August 2017
The Kokoda Beach Classic is a beach fun run for both competitive runners and casual walkers. There is the option of a 10 km run or a 5km walk. The event runs along the coastline from Nobbys beach to Broadbeach.
Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) – 11th – 20th August 2017

The annual show returns. Filled with all of the traditional elements including fairy floss, ice cream and rides as well as some new additions. Held at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
IRL: Digital Playground – 3rd – 13th August 2017
Enjoy the interactive art and gaming playground at the Brisbane Powerhouse. The event features free retro video game exhibitions, interactive art installations and digital music.
7 Sunshine Coast Marathon – 20th August 2017
An event for all runners to enjoy, there are five events including the half marathon, 10km run, 5km run and 2km run.
Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival – 26th August 2017
The Horton Park Golf Course will be taken over by the Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival. A festival full of colour, art and a massive line-up of great artists.
