The best spots to catch the New Year’s Fireworks

Broadbeach has two firework shows this New Year’s Eve, one at 8pm and the other at midnight. Kurrawa Park will be the place to watch these spectacular firework displays and there will be live entertainment on the Broadbeach Mall stage. Broadwater Parklands is combining their New Year’s fireworks with their Food Truck Feast. This means that as well as watching the fireworks on The Great Lawn, the best of the Gold Coast food trucks as well as some of Brisbane’s food trucks will be scattered along The Great Lawn to keep your hunger satisfied. What could be better than food trucks and fireworks? This family-friendly event starts from 5pm with the fireworks show going off at 9pm on The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands. Surfers Paradise is the place to be on New Years’ where you can view the largest firework displays in Queensland. Bring some beach chairs and a rug and snuggle in for a colourful and loud FREE family friendly presentation on the 31st December, 2015. There’s two display times of 8pm and midnight. What better way to welcome the New Year.   The 8pm show is brilliant if you have younger children.

Sky Point Observation Deck at Q1 is another perfect place to catch the fireworks. Enjoy views of the Surfers Paradise firework show with entertainment, delicious canapes and desserts as well as a photo booth. Open 31st December, 2015 from 7.30pm until 1am. Sunshine Coast

Caloundra is hosting a family beach party to celebrate New Year’s Eve. There’s loads of activities for the kids, including; face painting, clowns, jumping castle, movie showing of Minions as well as a variety of food and drink stalls with entertainment for the adults. There will be a fireworks show to welcome the New Year at 9.30pm. This celebration will take place at the Kings Beach Amphitheatre and Lions Park Caloundra, which is directly opposite ULTIQA Shearwater Resort – and when we say directly opposite – like 100 metres.

Coolum Lions Club is hosting a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event at Tickle Park, Coolum.  There will be rides for the little ones as well as popcorn, fairy floss, sausage sizzle and many more delicious foods. There’s the two firework displays with the 8.30pm show most preferred for families with children rather than the midnight show which is mostly for the late goers. Be sure to get there early to secure your spot in the park. There will be food truck vendors to cure your hunger, live music to keep you entertained in the lead up to the fireworks as well as competitions and prizes.
