When we found out that Gold Coast local Caitlynn Henry was announced as a finalist in the Miss Global Australia pageant, we had to share her story with you!
Caitlynn Henry – Miss Global Australia National Finalist
Caitlynn has been a part of our brand for over a year now and always brings her charismatic personality into the photoshoots we have done with her. But she’s not just a pretty face at only 19 years old she is half way through her occupational therapy degree at Griffith University. For as long as she can remember, she has wanted to work with and bring out the best in children with disabilities and special needs and this degree will get her one step closer.
Not only will Caitlynn compete in the categories of Interview, Introduction, Swimwear, Eveningwear, and Australian themed outfit she is also motivated to use her involvement to fundraise for her chosen platform – Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is aligned with her love of children.
Caitlynn, who is one of 12 national finalists, will gather in Perth June 23rd-26th to compete for the overall title – Miss Global Australia. The lucky girl will represent Australia in the Miss Global International later this year (20th August – 3rd September) in the Philippines. Whoever is crowned has huge shoes to fill as last year Heidi Andrews from Australia was crowned Miss Global International 2015.

Caitlynn said “She is excited to be part of the pageant and looking forward to being able to walk on stage in her national costume which holds a lot of meaning to her, but said we would have to wait till the 25th of June to see exactly what she has planned. She is proud to be representing the Gold Coast community at a national level and has aspirations to be Queensland’s first Miss Global Australia”.
No novice to pageants being the runner up in Miss Teenager Australia in 2011, National Finalist in Miss Teen Australia in 2013, and placing in the top 5 in the Australia Galaxy Pageant Teen division in both 2015 & 2016.
When asked why she decided to enter Miss Global Australia 2016, Caitlynn said: “Pageants have aided my self-development. I love this pageant because it focuses on helping others through charity. I am driven to help those less fortunate and as part of the pageant we are able to give back in the way of community service. It also celebrates different cultures and what a wonderful country Australia is to represent”.
