With the holiday season well and truly over, we are all back to the daily grind of work, school, and study. Many of us in the ULTIQA offices are dreaming about our next long weekend and holiday time and have set our sights on Easter! Southeast Queensland is a hub of activity during the Easter holiday period and it typically features the last of the very warm weather, perfect for lazy beach days. GOLD COAST

April on the Gold Coast is one of the best times to visit. The humidity of summer is typically gone and in its place are perfect, warm sunny days and cooler nights. Theme parks, golf, and beach days are ideal for the Easter long weekend, but if you are looking for something unique and exciting, check out these two major events taking place around the holiday time.

Australian Street Entertainment Championships
When: April 14th-17th
Where: Surfers Paradise Beach
What: Featuring amateur and professional performers, the electric street entertainment performances feature the best of the best around Australia. Catch performances all day in the Marquee on Surfers Paradise Beach or be surprised by the pop up performances throughout the city. The excitement, heat, and mind-blowing abilities of the performances make this an event not to be missed.

Gold Coast Film Festival
When: April 19th-30th
Where: Arts Centre Gold Coast (Bundall)
What: The annual Film Festival features a variety of films from around Australia and the globe. Bringing dramas, comedies, locally made indie films, and family features to one place, the Gold Coast Film Festival explores a range of genres and styles perfect for all movie buffs. Free seminars and workshops also take place across the Festival, perfect for amateur camera buffs, actors, and film students.
